Sparkle in his eyes ....

When his wife broke him the news
That she now has "someone" else in her life
He felt he was being pushed to life's darker hues
And all he saw ahead was struggle & strife !

He did not want to hurt her happiness
Nor could he completely accept what lies ahead
He felt his life is now a complete mess
But he did not let any show in the words he said !

As days passed, he tried his best to do his part
He took care of her and tried to show he was there for her
But deep inside he witnessed them moving apart
As he saw his wife's love grow more & more for the other !

Yes, she did say that she loves him a lot more now
But, wasn't there a time when she said she loves only him
She changed so much he thought, but couldn't comprehend how
Wasn't he the one who worked hard to make true her every wish & whim !

She is in a lot of pain, he thought all because of this "someone"
He didn't know what he can do to ease her pain
He wished he could take her pain away from her and run
He did not understand what from all this there is to gain !

It happened that very moment, and his whole life froze still
As he saw the little one he held in his arms
He realized there is no longer any emptiness in life to fill
His baby has filled everything with his charms !

That was the second he whispered "Hello baby ... I am your dad"
And I love you more than anything else in this world
He felt the baby was the most precious thing he ever had
And the sparkle in his eyes said everything he never before told !
